Michael Cahill is a private investor, attorney and business consultant, and has worked in the investment management business for 23 years. Throughout much of his career, Mr. Cahill served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel for Trust Company of the West (TCW). Before that, he was involved in the formation and development of a media and entertainment startup. He has also been in private law practice in Southern California for 10 years in corporate, transactional and finance areas as well as in civil litigation. Mr. Cahill is currently at StoneBirch and is active in private equity and angel investing.Mr. Cahill sits on the board of the KKR Income Opportunities Fund (KIO), a closed-end investment fund. He also sits on the Boards of various non-profit organizations, including Southwestern Law School and the Pasadena Angels. He holds and has held Board positions on various civic, community and professional organizations. Mr. Cahill has been a speaker at numerous conferences on topics including venture capital, international joint ventures, mergers and acquisitions, and investment management.
