• Serve as senior staff member and lead business development and top-tier client relationship manager for statewide charitable foundation with $200M+ in assets, 600+ charitable funds, and annual grantmaking of over $12M. • Develop and maintain close personal relationships with a portfolio of major donors, serving as philanthropic advisor to individuals and families. Facilitate additional gifts to the Foundation from a variety of donors and asset types. • Serve as board member for the High Meadows Fund (former executive director), a $20MM Vermont-focused philanthropic foundation focused on reducing use of fossil fuels, promoting healthy farms and local food, and working lands and villages.• Represent the Foundation publicly to various constituents including nonprofits, government, business, and community groups. Develop relationships with wealth advisors to facilitate new fund development.

Development and Marketing • Responsible for sourcing new revenue through corporate, foundation, and individual fundraising. Wrote grant proposals, appeal letters, program reports and developed relationships with funders. Coordinated overall marketing, public relations, and corps member recruitment efforts, including media outreach and all print materials.Program Director• Managed all aspects of a residential state-parks based job training and experiential learning program for 17-24 year-olds, including program planning and implementation. Responsible for the recruitment, hiring, supervision, and evaluation of year-round staff members, 28 seasonal staff leaders and 75 youth corps members. Designed and oversaw several week-long residential training sessions and taught classroom and field-based workshops.

Program Management• Managed all aspects of a non-residential job training, remedial education, and community service-learning internship program for inner-city youth aged 18-24, including supervision and training for year-round adult staff members and 30 youth corps members. Coordinated community projects in conservation education, public space beautification, and in-school mentoring. Provided individual counseling, job skills training, in-class instruction, and facilitated outdoor adventure trips. Served as staff facilitator for Corps Member Council. Development• Secured and managed annual state of California Department of Conservation grants averaging $1.25MM and over $100,000 in smaller grants for specific community enhancement.

Led implementation and communications process for new city-wide municipal curbside, commercial, and multi-family housing recycling program.

Led recruiting and hiring efforts placing recent college graduates and career changers into environmental jobs and internships. Responsible for all outreach and applicant and sponsor recruiting for the Pacific Northwest.
