Bewaggle is a brand new kind of in-home pet care company, unique in the United States, and our plan has been to eventually take the brand nationwide. As the CEO and co-founder, I've worked with my partner (and daughter) to develop the business from its inception. I've managed a number of significant projects including the development of the employee training program, as well as the policies, procedures and processes that define our level of service and assure a highly professional workforce. I bring my vast experiences as an IT professional, Corporate Trainer, Graphic Designer, Internet Marketing expert, and Change Facilitator to benefit the company is countless ways. And I am constantly pushing my own boundaries, to expand the business and the Bewaggle brand. Today, the business is up and running, and my daughter manages the day-to-day operations and the expanding workforce. I was a web designer for years, and my knowledge of that industry was invaluable to my consulting clients. But I was perhaps best known for my communications skills. As a speaker and trainer, I brought the message to any audience in a fun and captivating presentation that audiences loved and CEOs appreciated. As a Change Facilitator, I worked with organizations that needed to implement changes, to help assure the best buy-in, the least resistance, and the greatest benefit from the changes they needed to implement.

The Army Benchworks Project was initiated by the Army's Chief of Staff as an online Leadership Development tool for use by all Army personnel, both military and civilian. As the only project team member dedicated to the project full-time, I was given responsibility for the management of the project, and was responsible to see it was completed on time and within budget. As the project's web designer, I was responsible for the content and layout of hundreds of inter-linked pages on the Benchworks site. I worked closely with the project's Network Chief and database programmer to assure that deliverables were completed according to project plans and met requirements for functionality and documentation. The site was highly interactive, and serviced the entire Army worldwide. I was the sole customer support person for the project, but was able to streamline help desk processes to assure 100% of all inquiries were addressed within one business day.

Germany And Iraq

I ran a helpdesk and did general IT support for the Army in Germany, and when the Iraq War began, my unit (and I) were deployed to Iraq. There, I continued to serve in IT support and was put in charge of IT Security for the entire 3rd Corps Support Command - a until of over 20,000 soldiers across Iraq and Kuwait. I managed a project to train other support staff and non-IT personnel in the stringent IT procedures that were necessary to keep communications secure and reliable - a critical role under the circumstances. I also served as Project Lead for our network re-accreditation in Germany, a security accreditation required in order for our computers to access the Army's networks, which included roughly 100 pages of technical documentation. Placing me in charge of the accreditation process demonstrated the faith and trust my superiors had in me and my abilities

Vermont - Statewide

I served as Project Manager on the project that moved the Judiciary from mainframe computers and dumb terminals to the Windows-based PC environment. I trained and managed a team of "Power Users" to provide the first-line support in each county courthouse, and provided IT training on a regular basis to new hires and IT Support personnel. I also provided one-on-one training with all judges and Supreme Court Justices, and I served on the Judiciary's Education Committee which planned and implemented annual training for the judges clerks, and other personnel. I wrote the Power Users' Manual - a 200-page manual that explained the procedures and troubleshooting techniques that helped them provide support to the users in their courthouses, and I wrote the first-ever Internet Use Policy for the Judiciary. In 2001, under my leadership, the Power User Team was honored as an "Outstanding Team for Public Service", the first and only team from the Judicial Branch to receive such an honor.
