I'm a versatile journalist, editor, and professor based in Los Angeles. For nearly two decades, I've worked across multiple platforms: newspapers/print, digital (text), and audio. I love to tell stories and find the best platform for them. I'm currently a freelance journalist, a contributing writer to NBCU Academy, and podcast producer/writer, juggling various projects along with teaching TV, audio, and digital journalism as a part-time lecturer at USC's Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism.I teach JOUR 206 Live a course where students write, report, and produce Annenberg Radio News' daily radio show/podcast and Annenberg TV News. For a lot of the students, it's their first time doing reporting! It's fun to watch them learn and discover both mediums for the first time. I enjoy working with students and mentoring them, even outside of USC. During the Summer of 2023, I was an editor for AAJA's college student program, VOICES, which culminated at the national convention in Washington, D.C. In 2024, I'm co-leading VOICES, selecting the next class of student fellows and editors, building the curriculum, and coordinating the Voices convention schedule in Austin, Texas, where the program will culminate. For over 5 years, I worked at Spotify's Parcast Studios, writing and editing podcast scripts for the network's top-rated original podcasts as a freelancer, and then as a full-time staffer until Parcast closed in June 2023.As a journalist and editor, you name it, I've probably covered it: SEO-driven breaking news, entertainment, celebrities, food, lifestyle, e-commerce, real estate, the great outdoors, sports, health, and academia. My work has appeared in/on NBCU Academy, E! News, Cosmopolitan, Teen Vogue, HuffPost, BuzzFeed, the New York Daily News, the BBC World Service, and many, many others.Want to hire me? Feel free to reach out and DM me. Thanks for reading!
