CurrentActing as a conduit between firm vision and implementation, my role involves executing short-term and long-term strategies, via the deployment of a sophisticated financial reporting system, allowing the team to meet ever evolving company goals within a fast paced and entrepreneurial environment.Route 66 Ventures is a private investment firm with assets allocated amongst venture capital investments in financial & health technology, structured credit, marketable securities, and commercial real estate.General responsibilities include:• Responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process including controls surrounding treasury services and payment processing, reviewing compliance with investment fair value reporting requirements, and coordinating annually with tax service providers during compliance procedures• Structuring the general ledger for efficient multi-tiered reporting to achieve both consolidated and stand-alone financial statement reporting requirements while leveraging the general ledger database to create supplemental reports for use in company forecasting and budgeting• Designing forecasts supporting capital allocation planning and debt covenant compliance requirements over terms ranging from one month to five years• Improving upon investment reporting packages by identifying relevant benchmarks and KPIs to deliver cohesive and actionable assessments of business unit and company level performance• Providing consulting services to portfolio companies to streamline back office operations including structuring and maintaining systems supporting financial reporting, business plan forecasting and unit level economics, cash burn analysis, shareholder maintenance, and capital raise support services• Investment modeling “jack-of-all-trades” including in depth reviews of the hemp processing industry, analysis of commercial real estate opportunities, and automated Paycheck Protection Program calculations
