Mark is a seasoned, multi-faceted healthcare executive with a recent focus on network development. Prior positions include Interim President/CEO, COO/VP of Operations and Senior Director of Client Relations. Mark's expertise spans areas such as provider incentive program design, client servicing, contracting, Health Information Technology, Human Resources, and Financial operations. Mark worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM) in the early days of the Physician Group Incentive Program (PGIP). 8 years at BCBSM (4 years at BCN) included projects focused on physician incentive programs and collaborative quality initiatives (CQI) with Michigan hospitals. Mark has significant work experience with physician oriented P4P (Pay for Performance) programs in HMO and PPO provider networks. Mark has spoken nationally on P4P and on the analytics and management activities for ACO's.Mark's healthcare experience started at Detroit's Henry Ford Health System, where he worked in areas from management engineering to corporate purchasing and at Health Alliance Plan (Henry Ford's health plan) in provider contracting and managed care services.Mark's career focuses on developing productive and trusting relationships with physician, medical management, admin and employer leaders to create “win-win-win” scenarios across the entire state of Michigan.
