With more than 49 years of surveying and mapping experience in the Central Florida area, Michael Cavalere has worked in both the field and the office. After working for Orange County Government as the Orange County Surveyor he has been with the private sector during the last 36 years combining the knowledge of governmental requirements and private enterprise. Michael has been the Principal and Division Manager and managed projects and contracts for many governmental agencies including the Florida Department of Transportation, Florida Turnpike Enterprise, CFX, City of Orlando and many other cities and counties for the past 24 years while with Lochrane, now NV5. Michael now is a senior survey advisor and mentor for the survey staff at NV5 in Orlando. Significant projects include being the lead and coordinating surveyor for the FDOT District 5 Central Florida SUNRAIL project and hundreds of significant Transportation projects throughout Florida.
