Report directly to the general counsel with primary responsibility for MWH Constructors, Inc. (MWHC), a construction subsidiary acquired as part of MWH. Responsibilities include providing oversight, and strategic and subject matter expertise specific to construction for contract negotiation, risk assessment for internal governance, handling complex claims resolution and disputes, and coordinating reporting related to public company requirements for the group. This includes coordination and oversight for construction operations in the UK, and assisting in operations for overseas projects outside the US and UK. In November of 2018, Stantec sold MWHC. During and since the sale of MWHC, responsibilities have included due diligence associated with the sale, ongoing work related to the transition of services, and supporting the closeout of existing projects. -

In addition to supporting other corporate functions and operations, acted as lead counsel for MWHC. MWHC grew to a top 400 contractor, and a top five contractor in water and wastewater infrastructure globally. Responsibilities included counsel and support various internal management and support roles such as contracts, human resources, and finance; review, draft and participate in the negotiation of prime contracts, subcontracts, and related construction agreements; guide legal support for regulatory issues, investigations, audits, and compliance and governance functions; coordinate and direct claims, participate in mediation and dispute resolution; direct outside counsel and operations with litigation support and strategy; manage and support staff and work closely with the general counsel and senior executives. -
