Student Participant Traveled to Chiapas, Mexico to study and work on a waste water/ rivershed restoration plan and field guide for 10 days. Upon return to US, developed a group restoration plan. Volunteered in Mexico to collect and protect turtle eggs from poachers.

Communicated to the public important environmental issues, collected petition signatures, and fundraised.Focused on two particular campaigns: the Microbead-Free Waters Act (New York and Suffolk County) and Long Island’s nitrogen problem. Resulted in the passing of the nation wide Microbead-Free Water Act of 2015.
