Legon Today is a sub-media organization based on the Legon campus (University of Ghana) under the management of Strictly Media Ventures. Legon Today reports on General and campus news, and current affairs in the University of Ghana community covering topics such as politics, entertainment, business, education, sports, Tech, Lifestyle and Entrepreneurship.My current role as Managing Director and Editor-In-Chief includes:• Planning and managing all daily operations• Hiring, coaching and supervising personnel• Collaborating with the editor-in-chief to determine issues’ content and topics• Coordinate editorial publications and meetings• Plan and approve assignments for writers and editors• Control schedules and enforce deadlines (for writers, photographers, designers etc.)• Oversee proofreading procedures and edit copy when necessary• Assist in evaluating finalized copy for compliance with policies, style and tone• Resolve issues as they arise• Identifying necessary resources and deploying and managingtechnical crews for location shoots, including sound operators and camera crew• Providing directorial input, advising crews on what to film or record• Preparing and presenting material on air for both pre-recorded and live pieces• Identifying potential interviewees, briefing them, preparing interviewquestions and conducting both live and recorded interviews• Deciding on the running order for bulletins and making any necessarychanges during broadcast• Understanding and complying with media law and industry codes of conduct.

My role as a broadcast journalist includes: • Writing editorial pieces to contribute to the publication• Generating ideas for stories and features and followingleads from news agencies, the police, the public, press conferencesand other sources• Researching, verifying and collating evidence and information tosupport a story using relevant information sources such as theinternet, archives, databases, etc.• Writing scripts for bulletins, headlines and reports• Identifying necessary resources and deploying and managingtechnical crews for location shoots, including sound operators and camera crew• Providing directorial input, advising crews on what to film or record• Preparing and presenting material on air for both pre-recorded and live pieces• Identifying potential interviewees, briefing them, preparing interviewquestions and conducting both live and recorded interviews• Deciding on the running order for bulletins and making any necessarychanges during broadcast• Collaborating with the editor to put together the completed item.I host and produce the following programs and shows:• WOGBE JEKE- A twenty-six-episode series focusing on telling the untold stories of the struggles of the University of Ghana students among the general population and inspiring other students not to give up on their journey.• #AskTheJCR (a twitter space online program)

My role as managing editor includes:• Hiring and developing writers, junior editors and senior editors.• Supervising the content creation process from writing through editing and publishing• Managing a team of writers.• Reviewing written content for spelling and grammar errors• Fact-checking information in articles and stories• Providing suggestions for edits when needed• Writing editorial pieces to contribute to the publication

Impact Script is a blog that seeks to share stories to make them more appealing and impacting to the African youth as we enlighten and keep them more informed.Impact Script passionately tells untold stories and impact the African youth to greatness; telling stories of African institutions, individuals, fashion and lifestyle, Leadership, Health and Fitness, Personal Development, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Work Ethics, Education, and Scholarship Opportunities. The end desire is to leave readers with quality and impactful content.My role as Managing Editor includes: -Hiring and training new Editors-Meeting with Project Managers, Creative Directors, Sales Leaders, Marketing Directors and other personnel to keep all team members updated on work progress-Helping create a project calendar-Supervising the content creation process from writing through editing and publishing-Managing a team of freelancers-Creates content strategies and oversees their implementation processes. -Manages a team of writers, editors and graphic designers, monitoring the results of various content campaigns and editing content pieces to ensure they follow tone and style guides.

I worked as an intern at the Nsawam District Office of the Electricity Company of Ghana Ltd. (ECG). The sixteen-week internship has given me an in-depth knowledge of how things are done in the Electricity Company of Ghana, the supplier of power to Ghana. These experiences gave me added skills in GIS, Data collection, GPS Coordinates, Data Processing, Map Reading etc. Even though I have no electrical engineering background, I have through this internship acquired knowledge in the field.My major roles included: • Gained more knowledge and experience with creating maps and surveying. • Collected and worked on meter mapping and identification using AutoCard and QGIS• Embarked on a data collection activity in mapping new sites and landmarks• Assisted and embarked on mass disconnection exercise.• Assisted with data entry and administrative duties.
