My experience and interest in data analysis began with my work as a Renewable Energy Consultant at Isotrol. For a year and a half I was able to learn about data analysis of wind and photovoltaic plants using RStudio, BigQuery and Excel, creating reports using Data Studio. Later, in my job as a Building Energy Efficiency Engineer in the Innovation Department of Cemosa, I had the opportunity to process and analyze monitoring data from 12 buildings as part of the European project eTEACHER using Python.I have recently obtained the Google Data Analytics Professional Certificate and I want to continue expanding my skills in the world of data analysis to contribute to better decision making.Regarding my academic background, I am Industrial Engineer from the University of Malaga and I worked for a year and a half at the Habitec Technology Center, where one of my tasks was to evaluate measures to improve energy efficiency certification in residential and non-residential buildings. This made me understand that the first step to reduce CO2 emissions is to reduce energy consumption followed by the implementation of renewable energy sources.My interest in sustainability and clean energy led me to complete the master's degree in “Renewable Energy Systems and the Environment” at the University of Strathclyde, for which I obtained a prestigious scholarship from the Iberdrola Foundation. I finished the Master's degree obtaining the highest grade, with my thesis on the modeling of design options for low energy consumption homes. After completing my master's degree, I began my doctoral studies at the same university, in the Energy Systems Research Unit, with the support of a scholarship from the Building Research Establishment (BRE). The topic of the doctorate is the study of comfort and air quality in low energy consumption homes, using detailed modeling and simulation. The model predictions were verified with data obtained from monitoring different pollutants in the investigated homes. The last year of my PhD I had the opportunity to present my work at the Building Simulation 2017 conference, winning a student travel award, which is highly competitive.
