As the SVP of Research and Innovation I lead Roland Future Design Labs, a global R&D team of engineers and researchers focused on exploring and harnessing emerging trends, fostering innovation, and helping to shape the global creative landscape for the next 50 years. I also bring executive leadership to Consumer Research and Insights as part of Roland's Central Marketing Group.

As the Global Vice President of R&D and Strategic Partnerships at Roland, I am focused on studying emerging trends and innovations shaping music and media creation and enjoyment. In this role, I contribute directly to the development of mid to long-term product, technology, services, and partnerships strategies. In addition, I bring vision, strategy, and executive oversight to our global post purchase customer experience.

As the Vice President of Global Customer Experience and Customer Service, I am responsible for the achievement of complete satisfaction for Roland, BOSS, and V-Moda customers. Supporting our mission of Inspiring the Enjoyment of Creativity, our CX aspiration is to mirror the quality and innovation of our instruments and technologies at every point of engagement.

As a senior leader within the customer-centered Marketing Unit, I am accountable for global Strategic Product Marketing, Marketing Communications, Live Event Production, and Web Development, while supporting product development and our Roland Cloud services. I serve alongside an international team of extraordinary professionals as we strive to elevate Roland, BOSS, V-Moda, and Roland Cloud- the world's most consistently innovative creative technology brands.

As a member of the Overseas Management Group, I bring leadership to the marketing efforts of Roland Corporation in the Americas, Europe, Australia, Africa, and the Middle East.

At the start of an aggressive expansion phase for the company, I led the strategic visioning, tactical planning, and implementation of a totally-new Digital Music Technology retail environment for Tom Lee Music in Vancouver. I participated as departmental and divisional sales manager for the company, and contributed to overall strategy, recruited and trained staff, and ran many successful promotional events. Over a 3-year period I was Tom Lee's highest-grossing salesperson for digital music products, and managed a customer database which included some of Vancouver's top musicians, studios, and institutions.The largest promotions I contributed to Tom Lee were the "Westcoast MIDI EXPO" weekend consumer events, which drew more than 5,000 customers to the store and generated significant incremental sales revenue over a 2-year period.

As my first retail sales opportunity, working as a Product Sales Specialist for electronic musical instruments in one of the country's busiest locations was a dream come true. I was privileged to work in this position during a "golden era" for electronic music, and every day presented new opportunities to help people learn about the possibilities for introducing technology into their creative lives.Over a 3-year period I became one of the top retail salespersons for technology products in the company, and was chosen as the national representative for my division at the industry's largest trade show in 1991.
