About Cameron Mccarty
I have been interested in space and science from a very young age. I have made a conscious effort to make every choice I made for my education be a step towards research in that field full-time. My time at Columbus State University allowed me the chance to experience both Geology and Space Science at the same time, and granted me a unique opportunity to specialize in both. I attended the University of Tennessee and received a Master's degree in Planetary Geology. I was also a member of the Opportunity Mars Rover team, where I was an Engineering Camera Payload Uplink Lead. Then moved to real-time operations for the International Space Station as a certified Operations Controller, handling real-time safety, timeline execution, and anomaly resolution.And now I am I Payload Operations Director running the control team for all payload operations onboard the ISS
