Greetings and Salutations! My name is Anthony McCool. I love being actively involved in the community. I have completed 150+ hours of community service thus far. Being able to create and develop innovative technology that can positively impact the lives of people is something that I strive toward being a part of everyday. Certain movies, particularly spy films have also had an influence on me making my decision. I am hoping that computer science will grant me the opportunity to relinquish new thoughts and ideas in the form of technology for the entire world to see. Research and Development is what I want to focus on. Children will inevitably grow up to replace the current generation of people and many, if not all, will be responsible for the direction and functionality of the world. It is imperative that the current generation assists in molding and unifying the youth as much as possible before they reach adulthood. It is important that I am not the only the individual contributing time and energy to the success and well-being of the future. Giving back to the community has always been a big priority of mine. I use my knowledge of Computer Science to develop technology (specifically gadgets) that will educate and solve problems. I want to own my own an Information Technology Consulting Firm that not only uses technology to solve problems and provides customers with enjoyment, but it also gives back to the community through programs that I will develop. I will also continue to be a staunch advocate for libraries and the field of librarianship by dedicating my knowledge, time, and resources to libraries within various communities. Another goal of mine for the community is to increase library participation/usage within the community. Knowledge, wisdom, and love are three key components that I feel are not all that prevalent within many contemporary communities.
