I have over 30 years of experience in security and law enforcement operations ranging from patrol in a small town department to administration in one of the largest agencies in the state of North Carolina. I have worked in various supervisory and command positions throughout my career. I have served as the Accreditation Manager and I also oversaw the design and implementation of new technology for law enforcement and detention in my role as IT Project Manager.My career in law enforcement was unique in many ways in that I had the opportunity to participate in some non-traditional roles. I helped with brand recognition and public image by assisting with creation, production, implementation and operation of initiatives such as Scout, the Mecklenburg County Sheriff's Office Mascot and "Think First" DWI awareness campaign in which people could find out first-hand the dangers of operating a vehicle while "impaired." Also, I am certified by the American Correctional Association as an auditor for Adult Local Detention Facilities.I am seeking opportunities in administration, management or consulting in the areas of law enforcement, detention/corrections, or security. I am also available for instruction or lecturing on the topics of law enforcement, search and seizure, interacting with individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities, report writing, human trafficking, detention, accreditation and leadership development. I have a proven track record of successful performance in the field.
