• Conducts inspection on trailers as required by the CSA B620 (PIVKUCL)• Trailer Models: Advanced, Heil, TremCar, Polar, Brenner, Stephens, Hutchinson & Dragon) for valve proper operation including pressure vents, hose testing, weld defects, corrosion(pitting) in/out including plumbing, broken ladders and fenders, cracks on sub frame, hangers and axel.• Prepping materials needed, such as cutting pipes on desired length, pipe retreading, pipe grooving for Vic-Clamp joints, Drilling holes using drill press, MAG drill and cutting plates using hydraulic shear brake press.• Fabrication jobs; such as upper 5th wheel plate, pipeline lay-outing and modification including sump extension, installing baffles support frame(stiffener), installing tank scrubber and vent line pipe, lay-out and drill holes for mounting brackets, pump box, ladders & fenders• Repair and replace tank rotten shell plate side or floor section(sectioning plate/patch) including baffles, sumps, internal & external plumbing, reepads, and tank man hole• Do some cutting & welding jobs using Plasma Arc (PAC), Oxy Acetylene (OAC) & Gouging. Weld Process TIG, MIG (carbon steel, stainless steel and aluminum) (FCAW and Metal core wires) and SMAW process to meet deadlines.• Conducts final assembly and inspection upon repair or rebuilt by doing air & water testing to check for possible leaks on welding, gasket, valves proper operation and sealing.• Operates equipment’s such as over head crane, forklift &skid steer.
