DoD Joint Service Combat Support Agency responsible to the Director of Naval Intelligence, Secretary of Defense, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Combatant Commanders, Services, and U.S. Civil Agencies for providing timely, relevant, and accurate imagery, imagery intelligence, and geospatial information in support of national security.

Directly responsible for all meteorological, oceanographic, and climatology briefings and products for the Secretary of the Navy, Chief of Naval Operations, Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy, and Office of the Chief of Naval Operations Staff.OPNAV focal point for operational matters related to current operations, plans, global force management, anti-terrorism/force protection, ocean systems, nuclear powered warships, personnel augmentation and continuity of operations.

Responsible for optimizing research opportunities, recommending operational and scientific advances, and improving operational processes.A multi-agency center operated by the U.S. Navy, NOAA, and the U.S. Coast Guard to provide strategic, operational, and specialized tactical meteorology, oceanography, and ice support to the Secretary of the Navy, Office of Chief of Naval Operations, Submarine Forces Command, National Maritime Intelligence Center, Department of Commerce, and Department of Homeland Security encompassing a worldwide area of responsibility.

Produced global Numerical Weather Prediction products, full spectrum weather support to the submarine force, and global reachback support to naval forces and the Intelligence Community.World-class U.S. Navy super-computing center for atmospheric modeling and weather prediction. Executes a 24x7 operational reachback support to Warfare Commanders, Joint Forces ashore and afloat, and deployed Submarine Forces Command assets.
