My job duties are focused on the prestige brands and selling the quota each day I work. I am responsible for knowing the prestige products in the store as well as knowing which specific product will work best to fit the needs of each customer. It is my job to know the products that way I can answer any questions or concerns that the customer may have. In addition, I am responsible for testing and demonstrating the prestige products on customers as well as explaining why they need to buy it and close the deal.

During my 400 hour internship, I had a wide range of responsibilities. I had the opportunity to shadow a Medical Sales Representative during surgery a couple of times. Within this opportunity, I was able to get insight on what this job entails. I checked patients in for surgery by using Vision. I was responsible for explaining the financial agreement, assignment of benefits, authorization and disclosures, promissory note, and the benefits acknowledgement form and making sure each patient understood these forms. I called patients regarding their co-insurance information and informed them of how much would be covered by insurance as well as what their patient responsibility was. Aside from Vision, I also learned how to use Medtek. I contacted insurance companies to check for active coverage for each patient that made an appointment for a surgery with our company.

At Ulta Beauty I had many responsibilities as a Beauty Advisor. I worked the register, counted, and deposited money. I took out trash, mopped the floors, and put items such as makeup and hair products away. I helped customers around the store to find items and answer any questions they might have. I applied makeup to customers in an attempt to sell more or for any special occasions. Lastly, I was responsible for calling corporate headquarters to fix any arising issues.
