Leader of research in the development of an educational kit of synthetic biology, including the design and characterization of expression cassettes in E. coli and S. cerevisiae and the design of experimental protocols.

At the Group of Bioengineering, Biosystems and Synthetic Biology under the supervision of Ph.D. Candidate Alejandro González and Dr. Jorge Benavides. Working in the development of a phage-based vaccine against Rhipicephalus microplus (Cattle tick), mainly focused in the characterization of the recombinant expressing-antigens bacteriophages.(Jan-Jun 2017 and Jan-Jun 2018) Formerly working in the construction of phagemids and the subsequent production and purification of recombinant bacteriophages, as well as the analysis of their expression by means of immunoassays and luminescence, under the supervision of Ph.D. Candidate Cesar Ortiz Alcaraz and Dr. Jose Manuel Aguilar Yañez.

We encourage the promotion of science and scientific education, as well as the passion for science in the youth, using Biotechnology. We work in the divulgation and scientific education, seeking to promote the scientific, social and economic development in Mexico. Responsible of the content of the workshops of science given by BioGenera A.C. and the verification of the training of the volunteers and the previous preparation of the implementation. Teacher of high school students at Alfa Fundacion center.Former Coordinator of Institutional Relations (2015-2017)My main role was to contact and maintain a follow-up with sites at which course are given, including elementary, middle and high schools, as well as with the different universities with whom BioGenera A.C. works. As well, I was instructor in several sites, giving Biotechnology courses to middle school students at the center Beth Shalom and to high school students at Alfa Fundacion.

The BIRC belonged to the Harvard University - MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology and the Brigham and Women's Hospital. I did an internship at the Molecular Diagnostics and Nanotherapeutics subgroup under the supervision of Dr. Guillermo Ulises Ruiz-Esparza, overseeing the development of several nanotechnologies for medical and surgical applications.The main project responsibilities consisted in the fabrication and characterization of several types of nanoparticles and hydrogels, in vitro efficacy and biocompatibility assays, and fluorescence microscopy imaging. Work publication still on progress.

Research assistant at the Group of Bioprocesses and Synthetic Biology under the supervision of Dr. Jose Manuel Aguilar.I worked in the optimisation of protein expression using bacteriophages.

Leader of the iGEM Tec-Monterrey 2016 team. IGEM is an international synthetic biology competition, where more than 300 teams from all over the world compete in the city of Boston, Massachusetts.Achievements- Gold medal in the competition.- Obtaining the Romulo Garza Research and Innovation Prize 2016.

Research assisting and training under MSc. Edith Velazquez Lam under the Glioblastoma Multiform project in the Cell Therapy group under the supervision of Dr. Jorge Moreno Cuevas. Assigned at the analysis of the frequency of genetic alterations in EGFR, P16INK4A and PTEN in Mexican population diagnosed with glioblastoma multiform.
