Supports the Fascility Manager in making sure that work is being conducted safely and compliantly in nuclear facilities. Resposible for having full knowledge of the facility's safety basis and authorization agreement. Coordinates maintenance activites within the facility and ensuring they are scheduled via the Plan of the Week. Reviews work packages and recommends approval/disapproval to the facility manager. Manages access to the facility. Writes and revises facility-specific procedures. Maintains various logbooks as defined in the Conduct of Operations program. Ensures Surveillance Requirements are scheduled and completed in accordance with the Technical Safety Requirements. Assists the facility manager in carrying out all duties and responsibilities assigned to the facility manager. Assumes all duties and responsibilities in the absence of the facility manager.

Performs daily rounds and maintains facility equipment configuration within established operating limits. Maintains logs of equipment status, lockout/tagout data, equipment inspection sheets, etc. Being knowledgeable of the facility safety, security, and complaince envelopes. Coordinates maintenance work and service outages as directed by the facility manager or operations manager. Takes action to protect equipment from damage, and/or impacting operating status of the facility. Resets protective devices per institutional requirements. Implements Conduct of Operations Program elements at assigned facilities. Performs field observations and assessments as directed by the Facility Manager or Operations Manager. Keeps the Facility Manager informed of the operational status of each of the areas facilities.
