As the Lead Fifth grade teacher I am responsible for implementing all regular education classes to a home room of students, organizing field trips and meetings and observing the other fifth grade teachers to offer suggestions and advice. I also serve as the fifth grade teacher representative on our school's Cabinet. The Cabinet meets biweekly to discuss progress throughout the school in matters of our school improvement plan, classroom management, and assessment data.I currently serve as the only onsite Pearson PowerSchool administrator. As such I am responsible for using MS Office tools such as Excel, Outlook, and Power Point to create and maintain the records and schedules for more than 500 students. I also provide all necessary training in this program to all teachers, administrators and auxiliary staff. I work on multiple task force groups with Universal Companies to develop a better research based scope and sequence in Language Arts and Social Studies. We meet regularly to find community partners to improve student achievement and create real world learning experiences for our students. We also review and choose new materials to use within all six of our schools.

I worked with a team to write an Art history curriculum for K-6 students and a Common Core based comprehensive Literature curriculum for a 9-12 school, including a scope and sequence for two AP courses. During this time I also developed several units and thematic projects for school selected texts.

During my 8 years with Limited Brands I worked as a Sales Leader for both Victoria’s Secret and Bath and Body Works. I was responsible for meeting individual sales goals and motivating my team to meet store goals in both dollars and units moved.I trained associates in multiple stores in both PA and NJ on sales, customer service, register training and merchandise flow. I often partnered with other members of the management team to conduct group interviews and hire new associates.

As the Language Arts teacher at Maurice J. Moyer Academy I taught writing, grammar, spelling and reading to students in the sixth and seventh grades using a variety of teaching methods including lecture, hands-on projects, incorporation of literature, fine arts, and music. I was also the Curriculum Development coordinator responsible for writing the school wide curriculum in literature and language arts. I founded the school's National Honor Society and National Junior Honor Society chapters, advised the Yearbook Committee, and worked with a team to implement the Bully Prevention Committee. I was also named Teacher of the Year during the 2007-2008 school year.

While at Our Mother of Sorrows I taught more than 350 students, kindergarten through eighth grade, to use a variety of technological components including Microsoft Office ™, web-based projects, LCD projectors and SMART board technology. I also organized and ran professional development for faculty in integrating technology into curriculum. Over the course of my two years I developed and maintained the school website and e-mail hosting service.
