As a member of the migration team for Wolcott Group, I was responsible for migrating users from Goodyear's Active Directory to a new domain for Engineered Products. My responsibilities in this process included the pre-validation, migration, and post migration tasks for all workstations, user and group objects in Active Directory at a combined 11 sites. As a Senior Engineer on the Trend team was responsible for designing, documenting and implementing networks and servers as well as providing software distribution using SMS and writing VBScripts for client companies. Technical lead for Trend's 3 largest clients. Over the past year, was responsible for two major projects at two of these clients totaling over 1100 hours of project work.At one client, Beech Brook, was the technical lead responsible for the assessment of the current infrastructure and deployment of the recommendations. This project, totaled nearly 700 hours consisting of: (1) a complete rebuild of the Active Directory structure, servers,and an upgrade to 2003, (2) complete redesign and rebuild of the Citrix Farm, including the addition of Citrix Secure Gateway, reaching a total of 300 users enterprise wide, (3) rebuild of the enterprise backup solution, including the addition of a new dual drive LTO2 tape library, (4) consolidation of file and print from 5 servers located in 2 facilities, (5) facility modifications including the installation of a new HVAC system, racks, APC-Symetra 16kva UPS, and IP based KVM for remote management. As the technical lead, it was important to manage the time line of this project which had many cross-dependencies amongst many different components.

Completed a 60 day project to cleanup and redesign the Active Directory Infrastructure, MS Exchange environment, NetBackup/BackupExec Media Backups, and security patch policy and deployment with VBScripting.The Active Directory and MS Exchange environments were a combined project to give MTD an assessment and design to improve the design currently in place. Security, delegation, server locations, services location, and Exchange cluster design were all part of the evaluation and new design. With 16 Domain Controllers, 14 Exchange Servers and 10 sites, including international sites in China, Germany, France, and other European locations created a new design that allowed the site administrators to better manage each of their sites while still maintaining a central design and central infrastructure which the current design did not exhibit.

As an engineer was Responsible for maintenance, policies, documentation and base configurations on nearly over 3500 Intel based servers. Worked on a team of 7 members. For each assignedproject worked with "clients" (which are the LOB/Lines of Business) to provide solutions based on Key company standards. These solutions are hardware configurations and requirements; Disaster Recovery requirements and SAN requirements; and software distribution using Radia and VBScripting Additional responsibilities included quoting server prices to project managers. Also, was responsible for the monitoring of the operations staff as they deployed the servers and installed the base OS once the server is racked in a data center. As a Team, Intel Server Engineering was considered the top level support for all Intel based servers within the company. Typically, all issues related to Domain Controllers, Clusters, DNS/WINS, and DHCP are immediately escalated to this group.

As a Business Systems Integrator for ANS, was the lead tech on multiple projects as well as secondary team support on many others. Some of the projects that Mr. McGee led included a 300-hour project including the installation and setup of 5 new Compaq servers, migrating from a single server environment running NT 4.0 to the multi-server environment running 2000 server.
