Matt Gentry is presently employed as a Heat Transfer Engineering Fellow in the Drilling and Production branch of ConocoPhillips’ Upstream Global Production. In his present position, Matt provides technical assistance in the areas of heat transfer, heat exchanger design, and flow-induced vibration analysis, to COP projects, operations, licensing, and maintenance personnel worldwide. He previously served as a Senior Heat Transfer Engineer in Downstream Technology from 1997 - 2003, as a Maintenance Reliability Engineer at the Sweeny Refinery from 1994 to 1997, and as a Mechanical Design Engineer at the Sweeny Refinery from 1990 to 1994. Matt holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from University of Arkansas, and is a registered Professional Engineer by examination in the states of Oklahoma, Alaska, and Texas. Specialties: Brazed aluminum plate-fin, shell & tube, air-cooled, and plate & frame heat exchanger design and analysis. Cold box design, cryogenic heat exchanger analysis and design. LNG heat exchanger design and analysis. RODbaffle exchanger design. ConocoPhillips' Optimized Cascade LNG Process.
