This connected health project was a pilot for Tele Healthcare Service, an integration of a retirement home with its supporting GP clinic. I coordinated our funding bid to Horizon 2020 for this work stream, in partnership with TLC Care Homes, State of Guernsey DSSH, CustoMed and TBA.- Project Manager (partner organisation), Digital Diabetes Coach. This connected health project, funded by Innovate UK and the NHS, brings together a selection of services provided by independent SMEs and start-ups into a single seamless experience for diabetics. The solution helps users to self-manage their condition, enabling them "to do the right thing at the right time" and thereby avert adverse health events. I also acted as the Innovate UK coordinator, the chief funder for the innovation.(This organisation became DXC Technology in April 2017)

There was an utmost emphasis on information accuracy for safety reasons in parallel with an emphasis on speed of delivery, so as to preserve timetables, all against the backdrop of shrinking budgets. When a problem arose, fast, practical and low-cost solutions were required - that, in turn, called for an innovative mind set.
