Give me something to learn and a safe place to practice it - that's what I live for! I enjoy consuming all kinds information and learning how to do amazing things by breaking pieces of knowledge down and combining and experimenting with the results. Throughout my career in tech, I've always kept moving and learning and doing be it at the workplace or in my workshop at home. I keep my skills sharp at home with electronics projects that combine code and tools to do interesting things. I've designed and built projects utilizing the various versions of the Raspberry Pi and Arduino platforms that interface with anything from a push button to radio transceivers. Now I build and fight combat robots in my free time.More recently, I have built automation tools that leverage AWS services for scalable test automation designed for Windows applications. When someone asked if they could use that system for load testing I said "no" and instead built an API load testing system which began my love for the load and performance testing discipline. Presently I write tests that are Technology Facing and Critique Product (see: Crispin & Gregory). I also have a passion for sharing my hard-earned knowledge which culminated in leading a team to design and teach a certification course for software test automation. We based the course on the ISTQB automation principles and included real world examples leveraging Selenium, NUnit, Git, Postman, Fiddler, and a host of other technologies popular today. While I no longer teach the course, I spend a lot of time training other engineers on automation tools and best practices to this day. I'll stop when I'm dead!
