About Heather Mcguire, Med

Digital transformation is a critical part of an organization's future planning, and online training is a huge part of that. Whether you're shifting a learner base from a more traditional mindset into the e-learning sphere or you're looking for innovative new ways to engage your team, I have the tools and resources to support your journey. As a Learning Strategist, my specialty is helping you achieve better business outcomes by expanding the skills of your employees while increasing their engagement. Working with leaders and technical stakeholders, I created the plan to overhaul existing in-person training and develop a digital-first pathway to provide the theory up-front in an easily accessible way that could then be built upon in person via labs and on the job mentorship. By doing this, we could reduce our per-person training costs by up to $3000.Leading a team of 6 individuals, I designed, developed, launched, and improved an employee recognition program for an organization of nearly 4000 people. We rewarded our peers, leaders, and reports for going above and beyond their everyday excellence because engagement comes from appreciation as well as from a sense of community. With everything I do, I keep change management at the top of my mind. Even positive changes can be difficult to navigate, and using the ADKAR model (developed by Prosci), we can support each individual to bring everyone on board. My approach to learning development is based on honouring the knowledge and expertise that each adult learner brings to the classroom. By respecting that expertise and inviting them to share it, we can create inclusive and engaging learning experiences where everyone can grow.

Listed skills include Esl, Teaching English As A Second Language, Language Teaching, International Education, and 42 others.
