I was born in Phoenix and have lived/worked in various parts of the Valley primarily in a customer service and relations capacity. I currently work in the non-profit sector, and I've grown attached to my community, both personally and professionally. I generally see myself as an observer and mediator, but I love working in an environment where I can directly interact with both adults and children. Though I love to be front-facing, I also thrive behind the scenes both independently and within a team, as I have been asked to do both for every employer in my resume. Big picture: I want to be part of companies and organizations that affect people through creativity and engagement by sourcing energy from compassion and inclusivity. I became a mother in 2019, so I want to of course be able to provide for my daughter financially, but more importantly by positively contributing to the future of our hometown.
Listed skills include Customer Service, Museums, Social Media Marketing, Technical Support, and 8 others.

I open the doors to our main office in Phoenix each day and oversee the main reception area. I greet clients, vendors, couriers, and general visitors, so I'm often the first and last face guests see when visiting. Each day revolves around a rotation of tasks:-Checking in closing packets and ensuring the right Officers and Processors know of their arrival.-Logging Deeds and Titles and sorting them according to status for the Shipping Department.-Cancelling loans as requested by Officers and Processors and keeping them in compliance.-Sorting and distributing mail to individuals and departments.-Opening each piece of insurance mail and contacting the insurer if there are any red flags.-Scanning documents for remote employees.

I currently oversee all of the day-to-day tasks within the Membership department, as well as coordinating efforts between the Marketing, Development, and Visitor Services departments within the Museum. From general customer service, new-member acquisition, coordinating seasonal sales, and retaining current members, I have a finger on each cog in the annual Membership mechanism. In the past two years, I have helped create and implement a new renewal campaign both in physical design and internal protocol. I helped moves us to a new database and became a certified Blackbaud Altru user. The day my maternity leave ended, the Museum began its temporary closure due to COVID-19. I began working from home and adapted my daily tasks and communications to reflect the changes forced upon our typical protocol. I attended webinars from various vendors to connect with other cultural institutions who were dealing with the same setbacks, and pivoted from sales to storytelling. I connected with our 5000+ member audience by introducing a new weekly e-newsletter that was exclusive to members to remind them that they were on our minds and hearts. The closure of course caused members to wonder about the state of their membership, so I made individual calls and emails to assure them that they wouldn't be losing any time as annual members. I'm proud that we were able to retain nearly all of our members through constant engagement and fun content, and they continued to renew their memberships despite the uncertainty of a reopening date. All of this was done from home while my infant daughter was by my side. It has been an experience that has certainly prepared me for absolutely anything. Due to the non-profit mission and atmosphere, I adhere to the "all hands on deck" attitude and help with many events, including our annual Gala, and our monthly Free First Friday Nights. I love being hands on, and knowing the names and faces of all of our staff, from facilities to our CEO!

Began as a part time Visitor Services Associate in 2011 where I greeted and interacted with customers upon their entry to the Museum. I informed new visitors about the mission of the Museum and was their first, and often last, point of contact. Beyond general customer service, I sold annual memberships and made sure that I matched the right level with each unique family situation. I became a full time VSA in 2012 where I was seen as a leader at the front desk when my supervisor was not present. This new leadership role empowered me to train new front desk employees, rally my peers to reach membership sales goals, and was often left alone to manage myself. In 2015, I accepted a new role in the Museum as a Membership and Group Visit Specialist. With my 4 years of experience dealing directly with our clientele, I felt ready to take on a position that asked more of me in terms of reaching new visitors, retaining our current members, and ensuring the membership department continued to keep accurate data. Along with data collection and entry of new and renewing members, I help oversee areas of our social media marketing, and even event planning. As a part of the Marketing Department, I assist in projecting the Museum's brand and image appropriately, with a focus on keeping the unique character and personality of the Museum at the forefront of our campaigns and customer service. Along with memberships and social media, I also assist schools and organizations schedule field trips and playgroup visits to the Museum. These groups are a huge portion of our revenue, I strive to find the best days and times that will best accommodate each group, and ensure that their visit is a memorable one that they will continue to talk about as they leave our amazing facility. Facing customers and assisting at the front desk are still very important aspects of my position, and those interactions help enforce the importance of my role as a Membership and Group Visit Specialist.

I greeted guests and sold tickets for daily admission and programs. I also sold annual memberships by matching the correct level with each unique family, and met monthly sales quotas by identifying potential new members. I assisted families find lost family members, personal items, and locate local places of interest in the Central Phoenix area. I was often left alone at the front desk to supervise myself, and was seen as a leader when my direct supervisor was not present. I was promoted to full-time associate in 2012, and then moved into a more administrative position in 2015.

Basic website and hosting support. I assisted customers in a broad spectrum of tasks, from setting up an account, to connecting them with the right type of dedicated server that will help them with their business. My downfall was the sales aspect of the position, and I admittedly was unable to reach the high quotas that GoDaddy required. Just through the training alone, and the few months I was with the company, I feel that I tapped into a natural skillset that I wasn't aware my personality had. I was able to engage in constructive conversations with a multitude of different people from all over the world, and I am forever grateful for the short experience I had with that role and GoDaddy in general.
