Matt is a dedicated and passionate Agile Coach with over 20 years of experience helping organisations across UK and Scottish Government improve their delivery capability.As a coach, Matt has worked across the enterprise with senior leaders, business leads, operational teams, software teams and individuals to help them successfully transition to agility with the emphasis on improving outcomes.As a mentor, with a depth and breadth of experience with agile practices and tools, Matt has supported organisations, teams and individuals giving them both the confidence and motivation to try new ideas and concepts and be comfortable with uncertainty and change.As a facilitator, Matt uses a number of in-context techniques to ensure teams get the most value from workshops and agile events. These have ranged from a few people within a single team to large, complex, highly political multi-organisation 2-day events.As an educator, Matt has authored and successfully delivered a number of training courses across UK and Scottish Government. These have included leadership courses, advanced role based courses (i.e. Delivery Manager, Product Manager, Business Analyst) and digital and agile courses. Matt played a key part in authoring and delivering these courses for a number of years at GDS Academy, successfully piloted these courses at Scottish Government (which subsequently led to the setup of Scottish Digital Academy), and has trained a number of individuals from within operations at Registers of Scotland, which, along with individual coaching and mentoring, has led to several promotions into digital roles.
