As Staff Engineer, I develop high-throughput methods to synthesize and validate materials discovered by our computational team and contribute experimental data and metrics to complement theoretically predicted materials properties. I also initiate and maintain external collaborations with private and academic research groups. Highlights include:- Development lead for high-throughput, autonomous inorganic materials synthesis platform for air-sensitive materials. Scoped, acquired, modified, installed and assembled laboratory equipment inside a high-purity argon glove box over 14 months.- Rebased legacy software to enable custom equipment configurations as part of the deployment of the new air-free synthesis platform.- Introduced vision-based inverse-kinematic (IK) methods for autonomous navigation of COBOT robotic arms.- Built automated experimental data streams from generation to analysis to storage on internal MongoDB databases.- Co-inventor on four (4) A1-grade patents, sole inventor on 1 A1-grade patent, submitted over 15 invention disclosures.- Managed experimental lab space with 10 active users between multiple teams- Implemented new work flows to modernize collaborative software development, communication, documentation, data storage and backup, lab safety and purchasing.- Added new internal and external experimental capabilities on limited operations budget. -
