Mark Christos Design focuses on pre-industrial fabrication of solid wood furniture. The styles and designs come from an extensive look into historical pieces from the victorian, mid-century, and art-deco eras of furniture making. My focus on the fabrication of these pieces has moved me to try and teach others how to use some tools of the trade, which I am building through content on an instagram page.

  At its inception in January of 2015, Mark Christos Design began as a creative outlet for functional artistic design. Creatively reshaping recycled lumber, steel, and glass, to form original furniture for the urban landscape began this process. Over the last 2 years the focus has shifted from using recycled materials to an obsession with joinery and manual fabrication. In the last 2 years Mark Christos Design has utilized a social media presence in the non-traditional form, showing the viability of a micro-mill for hand made furniture.
