About Milton Jimenez
Over 15 years of experience and several certifications in forest management and expertise in capacity buildings in forest certification, harvesting, monitoring of deforestation, and recovery of degraded areas with agroforestry systems in conservation, ecotourism, brazil nut, and timber concessions; as well as surveillance and control of deforestation with drones, satellite images, geolocation applications and free geographic information systems. Between 2018 and 2019, I exceeded the proposed control and surveillance goals with the help of mobile technology and drones on 180,000 hectares. of the forest of the ACOMAD association, reducing illegal activities and deforestation, 2021 we implemented this surveillance and control methodology in native communities in the geographic scope of the ORAU, and these last 2 years with this methodology we have been monitoring anthropogenic deforestation in a REDD+ project with around 300,000 ha., in the frame of The Verified Carbon Standard (VCS) Program, the world’s most widely used greenhouse gas (GHG) crediting program. I am an Applied Business Management Bachelor Degree student at Brigham Young University in Idaho - USA
