Responsible for reporting community contact statistics and assessments to administrative, therapeutic staff and contract agencies. Educate HIV/STD harm reduction and smoking cessation to shelter and community youth. Administer HIV testing along with pre and post test counseling to participating youth. Develop service plans to provide counseling and ongoing aftercare for the residents of the Sanctuary and community youth also managing staff of the Outreach Program and Runaway Shelter overseeing the operations to ensure proper care of youth in care. Using oneself to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of creating a nurturing and therapeutic environment teaching socialization skills when working in the Runaway Shelter for Youth (Sanctuary). Administering life space process, conflict management techniques, positive confrontation strategies to work with client resistance and other forms of behavioral interventions with individuals and groups to avoid and resolve crisis and teach alternatives to violence and bias to promote cultural sensitivity. (2) Bridges to Health Program (Waiver Service Provider) Providing Family Care Support, Skill Building and Planned Respite services to youth in foster care that reside in the lower Hudson Valley Area.

Youth Shelter Program works strictly with young people, that are involed in the criminal justice system. The focus is to redirect and provide supportive services to those individuals, in an attempt to address recidivist behaviors.
