I AM - an educated, motivated and compassionate being whose roots trace back to Washington state where I grew up living an active life and loving the outdoors. As a student-athlete, I earned a bachelors degree in Communications from the University of Washington and a Masters from Seattle University in Sports Administration and Leadership.I first fell in love with yoga and spirituality as a way of rejuvenation and healing after retiring from professional baseball with multiple injuries in 2016. My current spiritual practice consists of Kundalini yoga, thai chi movements, hatha-asanas, creating music and non duality and witness consciousness meditation. A background in coaching and sports leadership has helped me develop a joy for teaching and serving the needs of others while continuing to develop my own faith, knowledge and practice.McKenzie has steadily built his own yoga practice and developed a combination of different techniques to take students on a journey, blending variations of guided movement, mantra, kundalini breathwork and meditation. With an emphasis on bringing spiritual energy into the heart, McKenzie’s classes help students reconnect and transform in mind, body and spirit.In summary, I pride myself on being authentic and motivating others to become their very best. Leading by example, I have shown myself to be a transformational leader in the organizations I have joined. My relatable compassion for others along with the years of experience working within teams as a professional athlete , make me a highly effective leader at uniting groups of people together towards common goals.
