Certified Pediatric Registered Nurse with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Arkansas, Eleanor Mann School of Nursing. Graduated from Children's Mercy Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse Residency Program. I have over 4 years of experience as a registered nurse and direct patient care within an inpatient hospital setting and outpatient clinic setting. My career has been highly focused on neurology and neurosurgery practices, with both pediatric and adult populations.Within my current role, I am the RN to the Chief of Pediatric Neurosurgery. I have developed an array of skills including seizure/VNS therapy and shunt management, PIV/Port medication infusions, ICU patient care and management and triage nursing. I have taken on education and managerial style roles including Charge Nurse, precepting and Nurse Residency Mentoring. I have maintained my skills with continuing education and certifications including BLS, PALS, Certified breastfeeding counselor and CPN.
