Hello! I'm McKenzie, an over-achieving, detail-oriented, go-getter! I graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2024 with a BFA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Interior Design and a minor in Design and Media. Seeking a job to move forward with my passions, creativity and interior design, I started working at Lisa Ellis Design and Hawthorne House as a Design Associate, aiding in drafting and project management support. From May 2023 through August 2024, I worked at The Avenue Athens, an interior design firm in Athens, GA. I started out as an intern for three months and was then hired part-time as a design assistant and retail associate. After 9 months, I became a remote contract designer and draftsman. I love drafting floor plans and sections and helping problem-solve on the go!Since September 2020, I have worked part-time at Hobby Lobby as a Customer Service Manager and Department Head. Having been there for over three and a half years now, I have played many roles around the store, and still do to this day. I am able to run register, stock shelves and design displays, and manage the Front End, including entering and leaving customers, communicating between cashiers and management, answering and directing incoming phone calls, and overseeing efficient stocking and rotation of the Front End Department.
