My name is McKenzie Ferrell and I am a recent graduate from the University of Missouri-Columbia. I majored in Educational Studies, with minors in Human Development and Family Sciences, and Psychology. At the University of Missouri, I was a committed and involved student. I participated in a plethora of leadership and volunteer experiences. Most recently, I was President of my sorority, Alpha Phi. As president, I grew in my leadership ability, delegation skills, and management over nine vice president executive positions. Before that, I was a liaison for Homecoming, a very detailed and extravagant event at the University of Missouri. I learned how to plan, organize an event, and empower the people I was overseeing. I have also been a member of the Student Mobilization leadership team, and have participated in two of their developmental summer programs called Kaleo. Through leadership team, I have grown in my faith and as a leader. Leadership team has provided several developmental meetings, such as volunteering for the organization. At Kaleo, I worked a full-time job, had different trainings at night, and developed in my faith, leadership, and character. I have also participated in volunteer work through the Grade A plus tutoring program throughout my years at the University of Missouri. Grade A Plus paired me with a student to tutor and guide after school.My career goals, are to continue in my growth as a leader. Through my experiences at the University of Missouri, I have been able to develop holistically. It has been a privilege to participate in all of the opportunities I have experienced, and I have become a confident leader who strives to empower others. I aspire to help others through my career and ensure that others have an enriching college experience like I have been blessed to have. When considering many options post-college, I landed on a campus staff position with Student Mobilization at the University of Clemson. I am ecstatic about this new chapter in my life, and the ways I will be able to have an impact on the students there.
