As an analyst, I facilitated the structuring and creation of 1-2 year revolving lines of credit provided to mortgage servicers and other clients, namely hedge funds and REITs. In addition to offering financing options for clients interested in the non-agency mortgage space, I read and marked funding and legal documents (term sheets, master repurchase agreements, pricing side letters, etc) that form the trust structures so to successfully perform whole loan repos for warehouse line facilities. Other responsibilities included tracking daily profits and losses for the existing facilities, managing FIRREA compliance for underlying collateral in each transaction, and maintaining detailed explanations and summaries of each financing facility and the way its trust structure functions within the repo transaction. While working in the Early Case Assessment Bureau, I drafted and wrote legal documents and charges for arraignments including grand jury trials. As a part of this responsibility, I interviewed witnesses, victims, police officers and defendants and attended arraignment hearings and even testified in some grand jury cases.

As an intern in the juvenile prosecution division, I worked as the court coordinator, victim’s advocate, researcher, and law clerk. I researched South Carolina statutes and previous cases to prepare for trial and attended court trials (up to 20 cases per court day) while assisting the Assistant District Attorney and other judges in this division.

I attended the Maryland General Assembly for the 2010 session and maintain bill books for the House of Delegates and attended meeting with Governor Martin O'Malley. I also observed legislative hearings in both houses to better understand the legislative process on the state level.
