At the Gazette I created advertisements for clients on and off the Island, in-house advertisements in black and white and TAB publications in CMYK, as well as web advertisements in color. I overlaid the newspaper for ads and transferred to an InDesign file for placement and staff approval. I also assisted with events (awards, car show, food & wine) as well as minimal front desk work.

I worked at Hob Knob (during the summers) from the 11th grade to my junior year in college. In 2011, I began as a "Floater" to help clean, run errands, set up for events, and assist the manager with any tasks. Along with managing the Hob Knob Twitter page. In 2013, I began training as a Server for breakfast and was in charge of setting up the tables and the buffet/coffee as well as serving and clean up duties. During the summer of 2014, I was somewhat of a "Kitchen Manager" continuing my duties in serving breakfast as well as training new employees and providing excellent service to hotel guests. I was the on-hand Graphic Designer for the company by creating email blasts using Constant Contact, nightly newsletters, business and social media cards, menus, and invitations for events all using the Adobe Creative Suite. I aided in minimal front desk work including confirming reservations and assisting guests with dinner reservations and plans while on the Island. I occasionally did housekeeping when needed. During my extended Christmas Break, I went back to the Island to help with Christmas in Edgartown, a yearly tradition where most of the shops are open and hotels have open houses to promote business. Summer 2015, I was the Kitchen Manager, in charge of training all servers and overseeing kitchen protocol and shopping/restock. I was a bike tour guide, creating and giving 1-3 hour tours along with creating a custom map of our journey. I continued my duties at the front desk and now have a basic knowledge of Hotel Concepts and phone etiquette. I maintained all prior graphic design responsibilities.
