The Independent Brewers Association (IBA) is a not-for-profit membership-based organisation and is the national peak body representing Australia independent brewers. Each year the IBA stages BrewCon and the Independent Beer Awards (The Indies). BrewCon and the Indies exist to build excellence and best-practice in the Australian beer industry. MPP (Million Puppet Project) was created as an audience and community development initiative of Spare Parts Puppet Theatre for the 20th UNIMA Congress and World Puppetry Festival, April 2-12 2008. MPP comprised of regional residencies throughout Western Australia, a comprehensive metropolitan workshop program and organized national and international support. The culmination of MPP was Carnival Day, held at the Perth Concert Hall where the Guinness World Record attempt for the World’s Largest Puppet Display was attempted.As the Project Manager for the Million Puppet Project, I was responsible for the overall development and implementation of the project. This included the coordination of 10 significant regional residencies across Western Australia, developing a multi-platform marketing strategy for local, regional and international audiences, and high level stakeholder management.

The Abbotsford Convent is a complex of 11 heritage buildings set on 6.8 hectares. In 2004, after a prolonged community campaign to save the site from inappropriate development, the Abbotsford Convent Foundation was formed to develop an arts, culture & education precinct on behalf of the people of Victoria. The Abbotsford Convent is now a thriving precinct with artist studios, office spaces, a radio station, primary school, industrial art spaces, performance & exhibition spaces, rehearsal facilities, commercial venues, formal gardens, an organic bakery, a bar & a cafe.As Assistant Manager, I was part of a small executive team charged with the development of the Abbotsford Convent towards the community's vision. RESPONSIBILITIES & ACHIEVEMENTS• A key manager in a small team charged with the development of the convent site according to the community’s vision• Key community liaison person• Developed, marketing, managed the Multiple Tenancy Strategy• Negotiated over 100 leases creating an additional revenue of $325,000 per annum• Developed, funded and coordinated artistic programs events and community projects• Developed and managed internal and external communication tools• Built and maintained positive relationships with various stakeholders and partners: tenants, Board, artists, event coordinators, local community, government bodies, media, businesses and Friends group• Developed the website www.abbotsfordconvent.com.au • Structured a FileMaker Pro CRM database specific to the needs of the Abbotsford Convent• Created and administered a funded program for the Koorie Arts Studio managing relationships with Aboriginal communities, philanthropic organisations and government agencies• Established Well-Being at the Convent, a wellness centre comprising of 14 diverse well-being practitioners, creating an additional operational revenue of $120,000 per annum• Coordinated a database of over 400 volunteers• Developed volunteer strategy, campaign and database.
