The Head of Physical Education in a boarding school holds a diverse range of responsibilities, including the design and oversight of a comprehensive PE curriculum, supervision and support of PE staff, efficient management of the department's budget, implementing student assessment strategies, collaborating with the school community, staying informed about developments in physical education, supporting student well-being, integrating physical activities into the boarding school experience, and serving as a leader and advocate for the importance of physical education within the school community. I aim to create a positive and inclusive environment, fostering the physical and mental well-being of students while contributing to the overall educational experience in a residential school setting.

As Head of Physical Education, I was entrusted with implementing change and updating the sporting provision while reshaping the school's secondary physical education landscape. This involved strategic planning and execution of new initiatives to enhance the quality and diversity of sporting programs. This dynamic role focused on creating a vibrant sports culture, fostering student engagement, and promoting holistic development through physical education in the multicultural context of an international school.

As an international Physical Education (PE) teacher in an international school, I undertook the responsibility of promoting physical fitness, health, and overall well-being among students. This multifaceted role involved not only teaching and coaching but also cultivating a positive attitude toward physical activity and sports. Concurrently, I served as the Head of Year 7 and later as the Head of Year 12, overseeing the well-being and academic progress of students. In these roles, I meticulously monitored attendance, behaviour, and overall student welfare. Functioning as a key point of contact for students, parents, and teachers, I addressed concerns and provided guidance. My commitment extended beyond the classroom; I actively fostered a positive and supportive learning environment, managing pastoral care and implementing strategies to enhance the overall experience and development of students.
