About Maria Lungu

I am an experienced public policy professional and academic researcher with a demonstrated history of quantitative and qualitative expertise. I am comfortable in a fast-paced organization, adaptive to learning new research methods, and committed to high-quality and rigorous research. I have designed and executed end-to-end custom primary research using a wide variety of methods including ethnographic studies, case studies, surveys, focus groups, field studies, usability tests, and 1:1 interviews, using both intervention and non-intervention methods. Additionally, I have executed card sort studies and multivariate testing within both the policy and business contexts. I am comfortable using SPSS, SAS, and STATA for quantitative research. I have always been committed to criminal justice development and I am always looking for ways to merge my expertise in this area. Most recently this has been regulatory policy research concerning algorithm decision-making. I am committed to researching a broad range of technology policy issues from online safety, economic inclusion, content accountability, and responsible innovation.
