CurrentPerform routine server maintenance to maintain a healthy and secure information managementenvironment for the end users--Cleaning file systems of extraneous temporary and log files.Diagnose and resolve overall system hardware, software, firmware and network problems.Configures, maintains and upgrades network connection devices, network hardware/softwareequipment, and automation equipment.Facilitate and provide recommendations for the acquisition, planning, integration, implementation, and accreditation of a specified system.Coordinate installation and operation of systems with the host unit, planners, and external system program offices.Provide system administration and maintenance support.Maintain systems security management, technical analysis, and documentation support.Administer user accounts and file permissions.Load and configure software packages, updates, and patches.Develop, maintain, and monitor procedures for all server backups and restores.Provide technical support to Systems Technician and Help Desk, including troubleshooting user operating problems, application problems, system configuration issues and malfunctions, and network operating problems.Perform software maintenance comprised of: running utility software, isolating client, server, or peripheral configuration problems.Travel to work sites, training classes and conferences for the purpose of supporting remote work sites and receiving new training as it becomes available.Document system-supported issues encountered, current status and projected or actual completion date.Perform other miscellaneous duties as assigned for the purpose of maintaining operating efficiency to the department.
