Due to my sucess with the Computer Science department at Basingstoke College, I now manage the Creative Media and Music Deaprtment, where I am resposible for the management of over 215 students. Leading a team of experienced staff, my main goal is to provide outstanding outcome for learners through study programmes. It is also my respoability to maintain and imrpove key departmental KPIs , as part of the colleges drive to become outstanding.

As Course Director I am responsible for the entire post-16 provision in Computer Science at BCoT, managing a range of courses from Level 2 and Level 3. In addition, I am responsible for all students within the department, staff, and key KPIs. A key aspect of my role is developing the curriculum to be employed led, which involves working with a range of employers to deliver a relevant and robust industry related curriculum. As a consistent outstanding teaching practitioner, I enjoy using a range of different technologies to engage learners and promote inclusivity. I teach a range of subjects including; Computer Systems Architecture, Software Development and Systems Analysis and Design. One of my personal projects, is a student-led Technical repair centre Tech-IT. In This role I train learners on their technical knowledge and how to solve technical problems as well as those vital communication skills needed for industry.

I am a computing lecturer at Basingstoke College of Technology (BCoT). I am currently a grade 1 lecturer, and now working hard to maintain this achievement, by experimenting with new teaching techniques. At this present moment I am learning the tutor role, being responsible for 16 students. I teach both BTEC level 2 IT and BTEC Level 3, and teach subjects such as computer systems, software design, programming, and systems analysis and design.I am passionate about my job role, and believe that I am vital resource to encourage emerging technologies with learners and keeping them engaged within the world of computing. I help encourage less able learners to achieve work to their full potential, and help them prepare for either work placement or university.

When working for Apple, my job role was focused on customer service, which involved assisting and dealing with customer inquiries. On regular occasions I would be involved in workshop sessions with customers, demonstrating how to use their apple technology and run workshops to either in groups or onto a one 2 one basis.

When working for pumpkin patch, my job as a manger was to take charge of the store, and ensure that daily targets were met. I would be involved with cashing up, banking, stock takes, visual merchandising, training and delivery. Customer service was a key focus of the company and mine to ensure that every customer received a positive experience whilst shopping with the company.
