Biomimicry LA is a diverse, regionally attuned network of changemakers and visionaries fostering innovation inspired by nature. Our purpose is to convene passionate and committed thought leaders, including professionals, academics, and other innovators around the promise of biomimicry and bioinspired innovation. We anticipate joining the next cohort of networks (2013-2014) in June of this year, and are taking steps toward achieving that goal.With a multi-disciplinary group of scientists, engineers, architects, designers, business leaders, researchers, and students, we will together explore the world around us through a biomimicry lens. We will become more attune to our local environment. We will endeavor to consciously emulate nature’s genius in the areas of form, process, and system development and innovation, and at scales ranging from the nanometer to the ecosystem.

Led a diverse 50-person cross-functional team, successfully managing the development and implementation of $200M of products to cost, schedule and performance goals.Took over and significantly improved team cohesiveness and productivity of an underperforming team by developing mutual respect, common goals and metrics, and aligning incentives for individuals and the program.Reduced a contract proposal by $13M through extensive review, technical evaluations, and negotiations.
