As a 4th-generation Oakland-born, Bay Area resident and Latinx woman passionate about our Bay Area communities, my career goal is to play a part within the scaffolding that supports and uplifts our communities. I have a genuine passion for driving meaningful projects - I'm particularly drawn to roles within CBOs, Nonprofits, Education/Ed-tech, or Community-Focused Small Businesses, but I'm open to exploring more fields too!At UC Berkeley, I got to delve deep into the sociology of the Education System where I first began understanding my own disrupted educational experience as a Latinx student within the US public school system. This particular experience, combined with my participation as a part-time tutor and mentor in college, has taught me that the key to effective literacy in schools is community-based learning that honors local institutions, history, literature, cultural heritage, and natural environments. These values not only fuel my passion as an educational leader, but have shaped my work-ethic and have allowed me to recognize the power behind collective action.As a project manager, my approach to efficiency is methodical and organized - I ensure thorough documentation, organized exchanges, and validation of information.
