Operating 100% in the Spanish language, responsibilities included curriculum development, course planning and directing, information security, and leading a multi-national faculty. Managed an operating budget and equipment valued in excess of $1 million.o Leveraged tactical competence and operational experience to implement sweeping changes to course material, method of instruction, and physical training; transforming the course into a highly relevant institution.

Trained, supervised, and mentored a multi-national team of 5 instructors and evaluated their lesson plans; also served as deputy course director. Responsibilities included developing course material, translating it from English to Spanish, and teaching the course exclusively in Spanish. o Rewrote the entire outdated program of instructor to update it and align it with current US Army operations, resulting in a more well-structured and relevant curriculum. Transported and supported 12 Special Forces A-Teams throughout 7 countries, each deploying with budget and equipment valued in excess of $1 million. Ranked #1 of 5 Operations Officers by Battalion Commander.o Updated tracking and reporting systems to manage logistics, air transportation, and administrative support to deployed teams; resulting in all teams completing mission with no personnel or equipment losses.

Led a 12-man cross-functional Special Forces ODA or “A-Team”. Built team cohesion and trained the team to achieve 100% combat readiness to execute special operations missions. Ranked top 3 of 34 Commanders.o While deployed to Paraguay, managed a $1 million budget and balanced limited time and resources against needs of our Paraguayan military customers; resulting in high-value training for 7 Paraguayan Spec Ops units. o While deployed to Afghanistan, planned and let over 150 combat missions comprised of between 4 and 150 US and Afghan Soldiers while operating semi-autonomously with limited outside support and guidance.o Leveraged team member capabilities, personal negotiation to gain buy-in from tribal leaders, and support to Afghan forces to expand security and governance; liberating an entire Afghan District from Taliban control.o Synchronized multi-source intelligence to target and neutralize enemy fighters and leaders throughout the Afghan District, disrupting a key Taliban supply line and eliminating the enemy safe haven.

Graduated the Maneuver Captains’ Career Course, Special Forces Qualification Course, Survival/Evasion/Resistance/Escape Level C, and Special Operations Language Training. Learned how to plan and execute a wide range of peacetime and combat missions. Attained a Top Secret Clearance level.

Deputy commander of a 100-soldier company. Supervised accountability and maintenance of $8M in equipment. Coordinated resupply and maintenance for five combat outposts spread throughout Afghanistan.o Transformed unit’s logistics system from an on-call system to forecasting using an efficient blend of air, ground, and contractor resupply resulting in every outpost stocked at 200% levels in all supply categories in 30 days.

Developed and executed a challenging training plan for the 20-man Infantry Platoon, resulting in the Platoon’s selection as the sole unit to the Division’s most contested combat outpost on the Afghanistan/Pakistan border.
