Our focus is on improving health, wellness and safety at the worksite. One of the keys to decreasing costs associated with injuries is matching employees to the correct job for their physical abilities before an injury happens. We do this through very specific job descriptions and pre-work testing. Both employers and employees want to avoid injuries and job matching is that solution.We also offer companies a number of different programs to decrease costs associated with worksite related injuries and health care costs.On Site Ergonomic Training and Assessments: Prevent injuries and increase productivity through proper workstation set-up, lifting education, training on proper care of your back/neck and more.Work Station Analysis: The individual employee's work station is assesed by a licensed physical therapist and ergonomic changes are made to prevent work-related injuries.On Site Physical Therapy: Providing a licensed physical therapist on site to provide pain relief, prevent the need for surgeries, reduce worker's compensation claims, decrease time away from work due to injury or for health care visits, and offer employees the benefit of quality care without leaving work.Job Matching Programs:Functional Job Descriptions, Job Specific Testing and Post-Offer Testing: The key to returning employees to work safely and more quickly. The test helps determine the employee's physical ability to perform job tasks and allows the employer to match that employee to a specific job.Work Conditioning: Work Smart PT is an affiliate of ActivePT and Sports which is located in the Rochester Athletic Club. BIOL 1217 Anatomy & Physiology IThis course is part one of the two-semester Anatomy and Physiology sequence. The course focuses on cell structure and function, tissues, chemistry as it relates to biological function, metabolism, and major organ systems including the integumentary system, muscular and skeletal systems, cardiovascular system and blood and lymphatic and immune systems. (Prerequisites: High school chemistry or CHEM 1101 or equivalent, and high school biology or BIOL 1101 or BIOL 1107 or BIOL 1110 or equivalent. College-level reading and writing skills, and MATH 0098 or equivalent). (4 C/3 lect, 2 lab). MNTC: Goal 2/Critical Thinking, Goal 3/Natural Sciences.

Teach Anatomy and Physiology II lab. This course is part two of the two-semester Anatomy & Physiology sequence This course covers the nervous, respiratory, digestive, urinary, endocrine, and reproductive systems. (Prerequisites: BIOL 1217, CHEM 1117, MATH 0098 or equivalent, and college-level reading and writing skills). (4 C/3 lect, 2 lab). MNTC: Goal 2/Critical Thinking, Goal 3/Natural Sciences.

Primarily work in outpatient orthopedics with focus on manual therapies. Theories of treatments based on Kaltenborn, Maitland, McKenzie, Mulligan, Bookhout and others. Occasionally treat patients in Skilled nursing facility, hospital and subacute settings.

Inpatient neurological rehabilitation focused on treatments of patients with SCI, TBI and strokes.

Sports Medicine rotation:-Treatments of acute orthopedic injuries suffered during sporting events primarily.-Treatments of athletes post surgical intervention.

Practiced in outpatient orthopedics with 40% time also in acute care setting at Olmsted Medical Center's hospital setting.

Practiced in an outpatient orthopedics and aquatic therapies setting.
