For as long as I can remember, I've been tinkering with computers and using them to make/break things. To the dismay of many of my teachers, I was also exceedingly lazy (in the fun way). Didn't want to do the same type of problem 30 times on my homework? Wrote a script on my calculator that did it for me. Never remembered my assigned password to any of the learning websites we used? Perform a SQL injection to login instead. Just didn't feel like using said learning websites? Privilege escalate to download Minecraft. (I was eight years old and bored, don't judge me for not knowing the legality of hacking poorly secured computers). During my high school years, I straightened up my ways a bit. I instead used my talents to send multiple experiments to the International Space Station. The projects all ran on custom embedded circuits which I helped design, assemble, and program. My goal was to create the ultimate Super Bowl party in space by testing microgravity's effects on cheese and beer production. Unfortunately, my corn growth experiment got scrapped due to Covid, so for now, the tortilla chips still have to be imported from the earth. As a student at Carnegie Mellon University, I've spent the last few years understanding how a computer functions from all aspects. From designing circuits on the analog and digital levels to making a real time operating system and training machine learning models, I've got a wide range of skills that will be helpful for creating the robot overlords that will inevitably take over.
