Independent in-silico pharmaceutical development

Performing the following work in collaboration between the labs of Dr. Mark A. Lemmon, FRS at Yale Cancer Biology Institute and Dr. Ravi Radhakrishnan at UPenn School of Engineering and Applied Sciences:Molecular Dynamics modeling (in silico profiling) of Anaplastic Lymphoma Kinase (ALK) Receptor Tyrosine Kinase (RTK) for identification of personalized cancer treatment based on individual genetic mutations.Analysis of Molecular Dynamics + Structural Biology of exon 20 mutations in EGFR to predict ATP-binding affinity, guiding clinical decision making pertaining to Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitor (TKI) selection in treating non-small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC).Dynamics simulations exploring the underlying mechanisms behind intracellular membrane recruitment of PH domains. Utilizing MD platforms including Schrodinger - Maestro and GROMACS to perform structural biology and molecular dynamics modelling.

Responsible for coordination between biological and computational aspects of the biotechnology project. Led the translation of raw biological data, requirements, and needs from wet lab into software and computational solutions.Ensure proper comprehension and accountability among other members of the executive board of the ideation and progress of interdisciplinary projects.Recruited and mentored new students in approaches based in statistical machine learning, physics, and software to understanding synthetic biology.

Dry Lab Member working on the following:- Implementing a transfer learning ML pipeline to predict pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic metrics of L-asparaginase when incorporated with non-standard amino acids. - Investigating inhibition of autoimmune response to L-asparaginase through molecular dynamics simulations to increase half-life of childhood Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL) therapeutics.- Responsible for modeling and presentation of the group's synthetic biology project.

- Aided in the organization of Yale Scientific's National Essay Contest, including the design of questions, reading of submissions, and logistical communication with supporting Yale-based organizations.- Aided in the planning, organization, and execution of the Resonance Conference, a day of student-taught interactive lectures in the sciences for students of all ages within the New Haven community.

Interviewed relevant scientists and constructed scientific journalism pieces centered around exciting developments in neuroscience, engineering oncology, immunology, and medicinal chemistry. See publications.

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) - Inbound- Created a new UI to consolidate the primary capabilities of two legacy services into a simple, integrated view. Completed from scratch using React.js and CSS for the front-end, and utilized Java and AWS resources including API Gateway (for implementing RESTful APIs), Lambda, CloudFormation, SNS, SQS, and DynamoDB for the back-end.- Collaborated with other organizations within Amazon in onboarding new APIs and services for use in my UI.- Conducted site visits at fulfillment centers in Maryland and New Jersey to capture customer requirements and desires to inspire the design of several features within the UI design.- In addition to my primary project, I began development of a new package to redirect data acquisition to a more reliable data source for a pre-existing Tier-1 service relied upon by numerous AFT Inbound-related services.- Resulted in an "inclined" return evaluation.

Working with Dr. Timur Galeev to assist with a project on studying allele-specific expression, binding, and DNA methylation in the human brain. Performed analysis and visualization of next-generation sequencing data, applying/developing bioinformatics tools and pipelines, including RNAseq.

Developed a computer vision pipeline using Keras to aid in the segmentation, classification, and ordering of medical documentation. Brighterway is a YC Startup in the S24 Batch.

Programming outreach material for the Institute. Currently focused on an Augmented Reality (AR) application for grant-related events and conferences. Working on a team of 2.

Continued my internship project with a more in-depth, fundamental, and complex approach to the mathematical and computational aspects and plausibility of real-time FIR/IIR filtering.

Designed, developed, and implemented a closed-loop system that can regulate optogenetic stimulation at specific phases of hippocampal theta cycles extracted in real-time. The system will enable future research concerning memory encoding and retrieval functions (as it pertains to phase-specific activity within hippocampal theta rhythms) to be conducted in real-time.The system is being completed with deep knowledge of electrical engineering, computer science, and complex analysis/linear algebra-related concepts. The Arduino-based system requires extensive knowledge in the programming languages C and MATLAB.Also took part in a collaborative effort among 2 other interns that involved creating a game that compares performance of a human player to that of an average mouse pertaining to innate time perception and rhythm. Application was created to promote community interest in the field of neuroscience (especially that of a younger audience). Programmed in C#.
