I have been working in integrated pest management since 1991, first with the Horticultural Research Institute of Ontario, then the University of Guelph. I was a private consultant 2001-2008 doing contract research trials for pesticide registrations as well as other applied research. I was a sessional lecturer at Niagara College in the Oenology and Viticulture Technician program, teaching Intro Vine Biology and Pest Management courses 2001-2016. I have been a sessional lecturer at Brock University since 2001, teaching Intro Biology, Intro to Fungi and Grape Pest Management. I am adjunct professor in the department of Biological Sciences and a professional affiliate of the Cool Climate Oenology and Viticulture Institute, both at Brock University. My research interests are wide and varied and depend very much on the needs and priorities of the tree fruit and grape industries in Ontario. While my specialization is in fungal diseases, I have also worked on biology and management of arthropod pests and viral diseases.
